GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE AND INTERNAL RULES OF THE FAMILY PENSION “TAHITI HILLS LODGE”
The guesthouse is not a place open to the public. It’s a family that welcomes you to her home. There may be other travelers under the same roof. That is why we invite you to enjoy all the places of life at your disposal in the conviviality and the respect of the intimacy of each one.
For the comfort and tranquility of all, we regret not being able to accommodate pets in the rooms.
Article 1: Booking and length of stay
It is recommended to all persons wishing to stay at the pension “Tahiti Hills Lodge” to book in advance and obtain the agreement of the owner. The reservation becomes effective when the customer has sent the owner a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the price of the stay.
Under no circumstances will the client be able to claim any right to stay in the premises beyond the stay booked and granted by the owner.
Article 2: Modification of reservation and commitment
In case of interruption of the stay, there will be no refund. Similarly, in case of early departure, the stay is due in its entirety. Late arrivals or early departures can not be refunded. Any cancellation must reach us 48 hours before the arrival date by registered letter, fax or e-mail addressed to the owner. Exceeded this period, the reservation is due. The no-show is considered as the effective taking of the room.
Article 3: Presentation
Anyone wishing to stay at the pension “Tahiti Hills Lodge” is required to make known his identity and persons accompanying him. The owner has the freedom not to receive customers with noisy, incorrect behavior or customers whose behavior is contrary to morality and public order.
Article 4: Access to the rooms (arrival & departure)
The client can not introduce into the room third persons not known by the owner of the boarding house, unless authorized by the latter. In the same way, the customer can not rent a room for a number of people superior to that envisaged by the regulations in force. In no case should you host additional people.
Rooms are available from 2 pm (day of arrival) and must be vacated by 12:00 pm (day of departure) unless otherwise agreed by the owner.
The client must arrive for arrival between 14 and 19 hours. In case of late or delayed arrival, the customer must inform the owner.
Article 5: Payment and settlement of the balance
The balance is to be paid upon arrival at the owner. For long term rentals, notes must be paid weekly.
Checks and cash are accepted. We ask everyone staying in our establishment to present a piece of identification for check payments. In the event that you can not provide us with this document, we will be obliged not to accede to your request for room rental. By application of article 2102 of the Civil Code, the customer can not oppose the retention of his luggage if he refuses to pay.
Article 6: Prohibitions
For reasons of safety and respect for everyone, it is strictly forbidden to smoke throughout the establishment. In accordance with decree nr 2006-1386 of November 15, 2006 setting the conditions of application of the ban on smoking in the places assigned to collective use, smoking in the house exposes you to a bill of XPF 5000 per day or to legal proceedings. We invite you to smoke in a small smoking area near the establishment at your disposal.
Similarly, it is forbidden to cook in the rooms, to take meals or to bring drinks, as well as to do laundry.
Article 7: Responsibilities
Children are under the sole responsibility of the customer.
We decline all responsibility for your luggage or items deposited in public areas.
Article 8: Swimming Pool
To avoid accidents to children and allow a smooth use of the pool, the rules below have been developed.
a. The owners remind all guests of the lack of monitoring of the pool.
b. The swimming pool being a family pool, its use is reserved only for the family members of the owners and the guests staying in bed and breakfast.
c. Any child under 13, not accompanied by a parent, is not allowed to access the pool area. The use of the pool by children is under the full supervision of their parents.
d. All noisy games, all throwing objects are prohibited in and around the pool, dives and jumping from the edge are prohibited.
e. Pool users commit themselves:
– take a shower before bathing and avoid bathing after using a cream or sun oil.
– to access the swimming pool in a bathing suit reserved for swimming. Shoes are forbidden.
– not to bring food or drink.
– the pool area is open to guests from 10h to 12h and 14h to 18h.
– all users of the pool must be covered by a Civil Liability Insurance and Recourse.
– the owner, on repeated failure to one of the articles, can withdraw the authorization of access to the pool area which he has previously granted without any compensation whatsoever.
Article 9: Stealing and accidents
The owner declines all responsibility in case of theft or personal injury in the property.
Article 10: Respect of the rest of the other customers
The noise, even diurnal, is forbidden.
To respect the rest of other guests, be careful not to slam doors or make too much noise especially between 22:00 and 08:00. Any neighborhood noise related to the behavior of a person, may cause the owner to invite the customer to leave the establishment without the need for acoustic measurements. Since the noise generated is likely to affect the tranquility of the clientele (articles R.1334-30 and R.1334-31 of the Public Health Code). A guesthouse is a place of rest. All trade is strictly forbidden.
Article 11: Degradation
The customer must use the rented thing as a good father and respect the place and the decoration of his room. In case of problem, the customer will have to incur civil liability. In case of degradation, the Tahiti Hills Lodge Pension reserves the right to charge the customer the cost of repair or replacement. The same is true for any infraction found after the client’s departure.
Article 12: Claim
Any claim on the quality of the services provided must be presented to the owner on the spot.
Article 13: Forgotten belongings
Items left or abandoned may be sold under the conditions provided by the law of March 31, 1896.
Article 14: Use of the premises
The client must respect the peaceful character of the premises and use them according to their destination. He undertakes to make the rooms in perfect condition, and to leave all the objects present in the room. He is prohibited from carrying any object of any kind belonging to the Tahiti Hills Lodge.
Article 15: Breakfasts
Breakfasts are served inside or outside the house if weather permits, between 6.30am and 9am.
Article 16: The table d’hôte
If you want to dine at night, do not forget to let us know at the time of booking or to inform us at least 48 hours in advance.
Article 17: The rooms
The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a fridge and a safe.
A flat screen TV with TNT is also available to visitors, the sound should be moderate from 22 hours. A cleaning is done every 2 days. The sheets, covers, pillows, towels are changed every 3 days.
Article 18: Acceptance of the rules
The internal rules of the “Tahiti Hills Lodge” pension apply to all bookings. Any stay entails the acceptance of the special conditions and the internal rules of the pension.
Article 19: Laundry
Laundry service is offered by the Tahiti Hills Lodge. We put at your disposal a dirty laundry box and our team will have to be informed 24 hours in advance. We can not be held responsible for the deterioration of washed and / or dried laundry.

Article 20: Eco-tourism
The owners of the “Tahiti Hills Lodge” are sensitive to saving our planet and want to contribute to the protection of the environment.
Simple and uncompromising measures can do a lot.
We count on your collaboration for:
– avoid leaving lights unnecessarily lit.
– do not let the water flow and moderate the flow during showers.
– we ask you to kindly throw in toilet only toilet paper, other waste having a trash provided for this purpose.
– avoid using all the towels available to you if you do not really need them.
